Our mission is to make health and wellness accessible for everyone
Our CEO, Peter Barbour, has been helping companies offer corporate wellness services for quite some time.
Prior to Cyno's inception, Peter began his career providing in-person corporate wellness services. After a lot of trial and error, he realized there were two main problems with this approach:
Every employee's wellness journey is unique, and to meet the diverse needs of every person, he would need to give them access to many different types of health and wellness services.
Distributed work forces were increasing, and on-site corporate wellness services were not adequately serving employees who did not work in office.
In 2017, Peter, Josh Dyck (CTO), and Ben Scholtens (employee #1) collaborated to brainstorm a virtual platform that could bring countless heath experts and services to employees, regardless of physical location. They envisioned a platform that would allow people to create an individualized wellness journey, with direct access to meet health experts wherever and whenever they please...this platform became Cyno.
